6 Oct

Don’t forget! Today is the last day for Texas residents to register to vote in the 2008 Presidential election!

Interesting (and shocking) fact:  During the 2005 Iraqi elections, when insurgents said they were going to bathe the streets in blood, over 70% of the population voted. In the United States, only 41.3% of eligible voters in 2006 and 60.93% of eligible voters in 2004 went to the polls.

Residents cannot register to vote online.  However, forms can be found at libraries, post offices, election offices, and on the Texas Secretary of State’s website.

Forms can be mailed to the following locations:

•Dallas County Elections Office, 2377 North Stemmons Freeway, Suite 820, Dallas, TX 75207

•Collin County Elections Office, 2010 Redbud Blvd., Suite 102, McKinney, TX 75069

•Tarrant County Elections Office, 2700 Premier St., Fort Worth, TX 76111

•Denton County Elections Office, P.O. Box 1720, Denton, TX 76202
